Destiny Davidson brings over two decades of leadership expertise, holding increasingly responsible executive positions within child welfare, social services, and health and human services organizations. She offers a unique blend of extensive child welfare experience and executive leadership insight, enabling her to enhance consultation, training, and organizational effectiveness across various programs. Before transitioning into leadership, Destiny worked in social work across diverse areas, including forensic assessments, family in-home services, and permanency planning. She led a team of forensic social workers for over seven years, collaborating with community partners before stepping into her current role as Deputy Director of Cleveland County Department of Social Services.
Her specialized knowledge spans issues such as the effects of substance use on child safety, intimate partner violence, and the Family Justice Center model. A graduate of Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Destiny is passionate about partnering with community leaders, mentoring new social workers, and applying her deep understanding of child welfare policies. Her hands-on approach allows her to stay involved in direct client work while managing high-level responsibilities. Destiny’s commitment to social work stems from her belief that all children deserve to grow up in safe, loving families whenever possible.
